Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
WE ARE NOT WRESTLING IN ORDER TO WIN THE VICTORY.
We wrestle to ENFORCE THE VICTORY THAT CHRIST HAS ALREADY WON!
2 Timothy 2:3-5 Thou (that means you and me) … therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. To endure means…YOU and I push through difficult situations without trying to avoid the pain of the experience. We don’t give up because “giving up is not an option.”
We push forward through PRAYER. We push forward through OBEDIENCE. We push forward through crucifying our flesh, denying self, and refusing Satan’s intimidation on every front.
Too many Christians believe in a “partial truth” of Satan’s defeat. It’s unfortunate, but it’s a fact. The “whole truth” is that… when you Pray according to the Word of God, and you unflinchingly place your faith in the FACTS of what God says and what CHRIST has already accomplished, YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO WIN EVERY FIGHT… according to The Word of God and ACCORDING TO The Will of God. Christians are forced into a fight where too many among us refuse to engage. They discount the spoils of war by saying… “it must have been God’s will for me to be defeated,” thus justifying their OWN anemic prayer lives.
Prayer takes DISCIPLINE. Prayer is affected by FAITH. FAITH IS BORN in the soil of God’s Holy Word. The only argument you need to ready yourself for, against getting up early to pray, standing on God’s word, or denying your flesh to honor God… will come from the DEVIL himself.
SATANS HIT! His vote DOES NOT COUNT!
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
