I don’t particularly like the thought of dying to self. I don’t get goosebumps or Holy Ghost CHILLS over the thought of fasting and crucifying my flesh. Giving God money when He speaks to me about it, SIGNIFICANTLY ABOVE MY TITHES, (which is the ten percent of my income which is already HIS) … isn’t always a CHEERFUL MOMENT in my life. I DO WHAT I DON’T WANT TO DO…IN MY FLESH. I do this because there are things that I don’t want to LIVE WITHOUT. What exactly am I “UNWILLING” TO LIVE WITHOUT?
I AM UNWILLING TO LIVE WITHOUT MIRACLE-WORKING FAITH.
I want to experience what it’s like to live with the God kind of FAITH. You say… what does that mean? That means living in a realm of FAITH that is so fixed on GOD that I can IGNORE FACTS as they appear and believe GOD until what HE HAS PROMISED APPEARS… in its place. MOSES DID IT…when he SIMPLY spoke to a rock, and it gushed with torrents of water to satisfy the thirst of more than three million people. That same rock is still producing water to this very day. ELIJAH DID IT when he “PRAYED” down fire from heaven to consume a sacrifice that was intentionally immersed in water. Even the STONE altar that held the sacrifice disintegrated from the fire that fell. ELISHA DID IT when he paced back and forth across the floor, stretched himself out over the body of a dead boy, PRAYED, and WAITED until that boy SNEEZED 7 TIMES and got up…more alive than he ever was.
I AM UNWILLING TO LIVE WITHOUT SENSITIVITY TO THE WHISPERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
When The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus in Luke 3:22, He came in the form of a dove. Often, He still comes as a soft, unassuming, unpretentious dove. He is often gentle. He is easily grieved, and He is extra sensitive toward CALOUS rejection and HUMAN resistance. I must walk tender and responsive toward The Holy Spirit…every moment of my day.
I AM UNWILLING TO LIVE WITHOUT RESPECTING THE WISHES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
BE DONE with low living, low thinking, and low expectations. Being BORN AGAIN entitles us to ALL that GOD HAS offered through CHRIST… by OBEDIENCE and PASSIONATE pursuit of Him.
